The Harlow Group are pleased to announce the appointment of David-Gordon-Smith as Finance Director.
David took up the role in April having been linked with the business for several years as our strategic finance partner.David is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Corporate Finance professional. Prior to his career in finance he completed an engineering degree at Queen Mary College (London) and worked for Myson, one of the leading suppliers of domestic heating products.David commented “I worked in a number of different areas whilst working for Myson, including design, manufacture and quality control. The factory was extremely similar to the operation at HGL including very early laser cutting technology and CAD/CAM systems”. He has been providing strategic advice to HGL since 2010 and has been involved in various projects during a period of continued growth. A number of other changes have also taken place recently including the retirement of Marc Boulden as Manufacturing Director and appointment of Peter Risley as his replacement.
Peter has worked for the company since 2008, having worked in the sheet metal industry for over 30 years.
